Anime Expeditions Units

From highest to lowest the tiers are Secret, Exclusive, Mythic, Legendary, Epic, and Rare. Higher rarity generally means a stronger ceiling, but a well-built Epic with good traits can outperform a poorly-scaled Secret, so rarity alone does not decide a unit value.

As of July 2026 there are two confirmed Secret units — 8th Sword (Berserker), an aggressive single-target DPS, and Shadow (Devine), a hybrid utility support. Both dominate community discussion for their unmatched burst and utility kits.

Community reports put Secret unit pull rates potentially below 1% from standard banners, lower than Mythic rates. They are not required to clear most content — they shine in optional high-difficulty, leaderboard, and time-limited events.

Every 3 regular attacks, Cursed Student copies the closest ally attack for 100% of its own damage plus 40% of the copied unit damage, with the follow-up percentage rising 20% per new attack. At 20 total Bleed stacks in range it summons up to 3 Bat Spirits that each deal 15% of its current damage per attack and despawn after 3 hits.

A balanced roster needs an Opener (cheap early survival), a Carry (boss damage scaling), a Controller (crowd control and anti-leak), and a Support (buffs, debuffs, or economy). A common build is 1 opener, 1-2 carries, 1 controller, and 1 support, with Rare and Epic units deployed early and Secret or Exclusive units saved for the late game.
